Every year the Gifford School hosts a Thanksgiving Feast and reunion for the entire Gifford community, including graduates, former students and former staff. Kicking off the day are student vs. staff football games, followed by a grand feast for more than 200 people. Our kitchen staff is busy preparing for days for this very special community event. The staff cooks and serves more than 12 turkeys, 30 pounds of butternut squash, 40 pounds of mashed potatoes, 5 gallons of gravy, 25 pounds of green beans, 15 gallons of stuffing and many tasty desserts made by our students including pumpkin pie.  During the event, a student representative from each school stands before the community and shares a personal expression of thanks.

“The holidays can be a difficult time for many people and our students especially. This feast is all about creating and sharing a positive experience with the members of our school community past and present,” said Wil Fredian, Gifford’s Principal.
