Summer School Nurse (LPN or RN) 22 days

Qualifications:

Current Massachusetts RN or LPN license required
Experience with children/adolescents in a special education setting preferred
Ability to develop an understanding of special needs population and therapeutic milieu
Proven interpersonal skills
Ability to work both collaboratively and independentl
Strong communication skills
Demonstrate respect for diversity among our staff and student body and promote an atmosphere which values diversity

Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Assessing and responding to student health issues and medical emergencies
Medication administration and documentation
Diabetic health management
Attending off ground field trips for the purpose of medication administration when needed
Documenting student health encounters
Communication with families and guardians when needed
Communication with student teaching teams and administrators as needed
